My name is Patri. I am a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and I’m a coach at CrossFit YiQi.
I’ve been actively involved in sports my whole life. During my school years, I played basketball and our team won two national championships and one championship in university. After basketball, I switched to rugby, playing against teams in Asia, and I also trained in Khmer Kick Boxing. After I injured my knee, I stopped all the physical contact sports and found a new love for the gym, where I can push myself like I used to.
I found out about CrossFit in 2014 through a friend, googled it, tried a workout and fell in love with it from the very first time. After three months of doing CrossFit, I applied to take the CrossFit Level 1 Certificate Course. To give you an idea of my dedication to the discipline, at the time the only place in Asia that was holding the course was…India! So I went to India, did the course, and passed!
I’ve been doing CrossFit ever since because I like to inspire people to have a healthy lifestyle by eating healthy and exercising and being a coach allows me to do that.
A bit about me personally:
I like sleeping, eating and training. Not necessarily in that order! I don’t drink or smoke but I eat way too much in one sitting! My friends and family tell me that I complain a lot.
And lastly, the thing I like most about coaching is fixing people’s form so that they do the movements more easily and without injury.
